Winter/Spring Newsletter

Timberline Place would like to introduce you to your fellow neighbors Eugenia Ramos and her husband David De Witt who in August 2007 made Timberline place their new home.

What is your hometown?

David: We are both from Belmont, California.

What brought you to Flagstaff and Timberline Place?

David: We knew we were going to move to Arizona once Eugenia retired from IBM, but we didn’t know exactly where. It was a trip to Flagstaff over the summer while visiting the Grand Canyon that led to our decision, so on our way back to the airport we visited several properties. Timberline Place was the last one we stopped at, and right away we said wow, this is a great place!

Eugenia: So David returned soon after, picked out a beautiful unit, and here we are!

What do you do for a living?

Eugenia: I just retired, but I am already thinking about going back to some kind of part-time work.

David: I work for the Flagstaff School District and get to be with children all day.

What is your favorite thing about living in Flagstaff?

Eugenia: Oh my…everything! I have really been enjoying the main library where most recently I have been taking classes that keep me up to speed with computing programs such as Excel. I also of course love the mall

What are some of your favorite activities?

David: We love spontaneously heading off for the weekend to explore somewhere we’ve never been. We recently visited Lake Powell, Tuba City, and an Indian Reservation, all of which were wonderful.

What is your favorite place to go on the weekend?

Eugenia: There is a Mexican place we found that we love called El Charro Café, located on San S. Francisco and W. Butler.

David: It’s a hole in the wall, but has great food and a fun atmosphere.

What do you like about Timberline Place?

Eugenia: I think this place is in a beautiful location, and getting into town is very easy. Whoever invested in the conversion of this place was very smart. I also have to mention Nate, who I honestly think is one of the most helpful people I have ever met.
